2022 NFL Season: Players on Reserve/PUP And NFI Lists

These players have been shifted over the last week to the reserve/PUP or reserve/NFI list, meaning they will miss at least the first four games of the regular season.

Arizona Cardinals

  • NFI: CB, Antonio Hamilton (cooking incident)

Atlanta Falcons

  • None

Baltimore Ravens

  • OLB, Tyus Bowser (Achilles)

Bowser suffered an Achilles tear last January and is still working his way back. He has a chance to play Week 1, but will be limited early in the season.

  • RB, Gus Edwards (ACL)

The fifth-year back suffered his ACL tear in early September. His tear was contained just to the ACL, giving him a slightly more favorable timeline.

  • RB, J.K. Dobbins (ACL), undecided

Dobbins' left knee injury also included LCL damage, which makes his return more difficult. Baltimore will likely be cautious with the 23 year old. He was activated from PUP on Aug. 8, but is still not guaranteed to be ready for Week 1.

Buffalo Bills

  • CB, Tre'Davious White (ACL)

The All-Pro cornerback suffered a torn ACL last November and the Pro Football Docs said he may stay on the PUP list when the season officially starts. White has an SIC score of 41 for the Super Bowl hopeful Bills.

  • OG, Ike Boettger (Achilles)

Carolina Panthers

  • None

Chicago Bears

  • DE, Sam Kamara (undisclosed)

Cincinnati Bengals

  • LB, Joe Bachie (ACL)

  • S, Brandon Wilson (ACL)

Dallas Cowboys

  • None

Denver Broncos

  • OG, Tom Compton (back)

Detroit Lions

  • NFI list: WR, Jameson Williams (ACL)

The Docs believe Williams will likely stay on the NFI list to start the season – NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported the Lions believe so as well – and he will be unavailable or ineffective until the second half of the season while he recovers from a January torn ACL.

  • DE, Romeo Okwara (Achilles)

  • DE, Josh Paschal (sports hernia)

  • CB, Jerry Jacobs (knee)

  • LB, Natrez Patrick (undisclosed)

Green Bay Packers

  • RB, Kylin Hill (ACL)

Houston Texans

  • NFI list: WR, John Metchie III (cancer)

Metchie III announced he was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia, a rare form of blood cancer, and will miss the season while undergoing treatment.

Indianapolis Colts

  • None

Jacksonville Jaguars

  • None

Kansas City Chiefs

  • OT, Lucas Niang (torn patellar tendon)

Las Vegas Raiders

  • None

Los Angeles Chargers

  • None

Los Angeles Rams

  • NFI: LB, Travin Howard (groin)

Howard injured his groin training on his own in the offseason and will undergo surgery to fix the issue.

  • S, Quentin Lake (undisclosed)

Miami Dolphins

  • CB, Byron Jones (ankle)

Minnesota Vikings

  • LB, Ryan Connelly (knee)

  • WR, Blake Proehl (ACL)

New England Patriots

  • NFI: OG Andrew Stueber (torn hamstring)

New Orleans Saints

  • TE, Dylan Soehner (undisclosed)

New York Giants

  • C, Nick Gates (lower leg)

  • OT, Matt Peart (knee)

New York Jets

  • None

Philadelphia Eagles

  • TE, Tyree Jackson (ACL)

  • OL, Brett Toth (ACL)

Pittsburgh Steelers

  • None

San Francisco 49ers

  • CB, Jason Verrett (ACL)

  • NFI: DT, Kalia Davis (ACL)

Seattle Seahawks

  • CB, Tre Brown (patellar tendon)

  • LB, Jon Rhattigan (knee)

  • LB, Ben Burr-Kirven (ACL)

Tennessee Titans

  • LB, Monty Rice (Achilles)

  • K, Caleb Shudak (leg)

Washington Commanders

  • DE Chase Young (ACL)

The 2020 No. 1 overall pick suffered a torn right ACL and MCL last November. He has a SIC score of 68 for the 2022 season and will likely be eased back in and primarily used on the left side once he makes it back to the field.

  • C, Tyler Larsen (Achilles)

  • NFI: RB, Brian Robinson (lower leg gunshot wounds)
