Green Bay Packers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers Week 3 Injury Report

This matchup between two of the top quarterbacks in football may not have enough healthy pass catchers to live up to the hype.

Green Bay Packers - SIC score 89.7

Green Bay will be without Sammy Watkins (hamstring) and have several other wideouts questionable heading into the contest.

Allen Lazard will play through his ankle injury for a second straight week, but missed practice time again this week. Randall Cobb is questionable with an illness and Christian Watson is questionable with a hamstring injury that caused him to miss Thursday and Friday.

On the offensive line, right tackle Elgton Jenkins will play for the second straight week coming off last season’s ACL.

Left tackle David Bakhtiari has yet to play this season since suffering his ACL tear two years ago. The Pro Football Docs do not expect him to play this week, thus it will likely be another week of Yosh Nijman.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers - SIC score 80.9

The Buccaneers could be without their top three wide receiving targets in Mike Evans (suspension), Chris Godwin (hamstring/knee) and Julio Jones (knee).

Jones may suit up due to the lack of WR depth and Russell Gage should be a week better from his hamstring strain in training camp. Scotty Miller will likely play through a calf ailment and the team signed Cole Beasley, who may be activated to play this week.

Tampa Bay will be down to their third-string left tackle with Donovan Smith out and Josh Wells on IR. They are already down starters at the left guard and center position, potentially leaving them vulnerable on the left side of the line.

On defense, veteran run stopper Akiem Hicks is out with a plantar fascia injury, but the rest of the team is intact.

Packers vs. Buccaneers Week 3 Odds

Tampa Bay is favored by 1.5-points at home and the over/under is 41.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Buccaneers are -460 to win the NFC South, while the Packers are +100 to win the NFC North.
