The uninspiring Packers' passing offense was missing four wide receivers – Allen Lazard, Sammy Watkins, Randall Cobb, and Christian Watson – at practice on Thursday ahead of the Week 3 bout against the Buccaneers.
Of the four affected players, only Cobb, who is dealing with an illness, missed practice on Wednesday, and all four receivers played in last week's 27-10 win.
Lazard, who is recovering from his ankle sprain, and Watkins and Watson, both battling hamstring issues, were all limited on Wednesday.
Soft-tissue injuries that pop up during the practice week and cause a DNP often lead to missed games, so Watkins and Watson will be two names to watch on Friday.
Aaron Rodgers has been judicious in the first two games: the 39-year-old has attempted a pass to 11 different receivers, targeted seven pass-catchers between six and nine times, and has four Packers tied for the team lead with six receptions.
Running backs Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon are two of the three Packers with eight-plus targets and have combined for 12 catches for 117 yards and one touchdown.
