Georgia Injury update: Will defensive line injuries keep Georgia from winning its first SEC Championship since 2017?

The Georgia Bulldogs last won an SEC Championship in 2017, even though they won the National Championship last season. This year they play LSU, a team they lost to in their previous SEC Championship (2019). But will some injuries in the trenches cause this game to be closer than people expect?

Nose tackle Zion Logue has played in all 12 games for Georgia (12-0) this season. His 6' 5, 295-pound frame has been a cog in one of the best defenses in college football. But a re-aggravated injury could keep the Georgia pass rusher from playing this weekend.

Head coach Kirby Smart mentioned that Logue is a game-time decision this weekend.

Adonai Mitchell is a 6'4 190, pound wide receiver. He battled a groin injury for most of the season that hurt his chances to build on his 2021 season, in which he had 426 yards and four touchdowns. This year he has only caught five passes for 69 yards and one touchdown.

He suited up against Georgia Tech for the first time since the Bulldogs played Auburn. Smart added that Mitchell was feeling "better" and that he's been able to do more in practice latel

Look for Mitchell to make more of a difference this week.

Tate Ratledge is the starting right guard for the defending National Champions. But he's been fighting through a shoulder injury all season. He's started 11 games this season and has powered through each contest the teams needed him.

LSU vs. Georgia Week 14 Odds

Georgia is favored by 18.5 points at home against LSU, and the over/under is 50.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook
