Ezekiel Elliott Injury: Will Cowboys RB Play Against Bears?

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott did not practice Wednesday with a right knee sprain he suffered during the Week 7 win over the Lions.

By video, Elliott appeared to avoid major damage on the hit and this recent knee injury is likely a short-term deal that will not require surgery, according to the Pro Football Docs.

The Cowboys have the option to be cautious with Elliott given that their bye week comes in Week 9.

Although Elliott also injured his right knee last season, this recent knee injury is unrelated to the PCL strain.

The former Ohio State rusher has 443 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns on 109 carries in 7 games this season.

If Elliott doesn't play this week against the Bears, Tony Pollard would likely receive a majority of the running back work.

Bears vs. Cowboys Week 8 Odds

The Cowboys (5-2) are favored by 9.5 points at home and the over/under is 42.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
