Dylan Harper suffered an apparent right hamstring injury during Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals and was later ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Harper sustained the injury in the third quarter before immediately heading to the locker room. The San Antonio Spurs officially ruled him out shortly afterward.
Pro Football Doc Analysis
According to David Chao, Harper likely suffered a right hamstring strain and is expected to miss multiple games.
Hamstring injuries can be difficult to recover from during the postseason because quick lateral movement and explosive acceleration place constant stress on the muscle. Even mild strains often require multiple games of rest to avoid aggravation.
Harper entered the starting lineup for the first two games of the series after starting guard De'Aaron Fox missed time with a right ankle sprain.
If both Harper and Fox remain sidelined, it would deal a significant blow to San Antonio’s backcourt depth and offensive production. The two guards have combined to average 30 points per game during the postseason.
