Dodgers Injury Report: Mookie Betts Misses Game Saturday With Rib Contusion

Star rightfielder Mookie Betts was a late scratch from the Dodgers' lineup on Saturday as he nurses a right rib contusion.
Mookie Betts Injury Update
Betts underwent x-rays that came back negative and was initially scheduled to have a CT scan on Saturday but the team decided to forego that test.
The 29-year-old suffered the contusion on a collision with Cody Bellinger in the first at-bat of the first inning of Wednesday's win over the Angels.
Betts popped up quickly and smiled after the play and was able to finish the game but has now missed two straight contests with lingering soreness.
If he was deemed healthy enough to avoid further tests, his return will likely hinge on when the soreness subsides. The Dodgers are listing Betts as day-to-day.
The 2018 AL MVP is having a bounce-back campaign after a 2021 season marred by a right hip injury.
Betts is batting .273 with an .884 OPS, 17 home runs, 53 runs and 40 RBI from Los Angeles' leadoff spot.
