Titans superstar running back Derrick Henry quelled fears about his foot injury Thursday when he told reporters his foot is “fine” and he plans to play Sunday.
After reviewing video of Henry's 32-carry, 219 yard performance last Sunday against the Texans, the Pro Football Docs agree that Henry should not have any limitations against the Chiefs.
The 28-year-old suffered a Jones fracture in his right foot last season that knocked him out for the final nine regular season games.
However, there should be no fears about further injury to his right foot, according to the Pro Football Docs. If there were complications with his Jones fracture, they would have materialized before this point.
The only issue from the game involving his right foot came when he was tripped by rookie quarterback Malik Willis on a handoff.
Tennessee was leading 17-3 with nine minutes left in the fourth quarter when that play happened, yet Henry returned and had 3 carries for 7 yards after.
His right foot did not look affected after, but that might have led to his limited practice on Wednesday.
The hulking running back ranks third in both rushing yards and rushing touchdowns this season with 755 and 7, respectively.
The Chiefs are favored by 12.5 points at home in Week 9 and the over/under is 46.5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
