Deon Jackson Injury: Leaves With Knee Ailment, Returns

Indianapolis Colts running back Deon Jackson suffered a left knee injury early in the second half against the Patriots, but returned to the game.

By video, Jackson suffered a left knee hyperextension with a likely bone bruise when he was tackled on a catch-and-run, according to the Pro Football Docs.

He was running around on the sideline after the play and returned, but looked hobbled.

Jackson was playing in place of Jonathan Taylor, who reaggravated his right ankle sprain in the Week 8 loss to the Commanders.

The Pro Football Docs expect Jackson will miss several weeks with the knee injury. An MRI will likely reveal the bone bruise, which typically requires an absence of at least two weeks.

If Taylor isn't back next week against the Raiders, the Colts could turn to Phillip Lindsay and Zack Moss.
