Caitlin Clark Sustains Another Possible Groin Injury

(Update: Caitlin Clark did not play in the Fever's game vs. the New York. Her status for All-Star festivities this weekend in Indianapolis remains uncertain.)
For the third time this season, and second time within the final minute of a win, Caitlin Clark appears to have sustained another leg injury. This time to the right groin. Her previous two injuries were to her left quadriceps and left groin.
While bringing the ball up the court, Caitlin Clark delivered a sharp pass to Kelsey Mitchell, who easily scored. But right after making the assist, Clark appeared to be in pain and reached toward her right groin.
Following the play, a timeout was called. Clark slowly made her way to the opposite basket support, leaned her forehead against it, and looked visibly emotional as she returned to the Fever bench. She did not re-enter the game.
As the final seconds ticked away, Clark remained on the bench with a towel draped over her shoulders, with visible tears in her eyes. Although it's too soon to determine the extent of the injury, the moment was a troubling one, not just for Clark and the Fever, but for fans of the league with the upcoming All-Star weekend festivities in the Fever's home arena in Indianapolis.
