As always in the WNBA futures market, injuries—and just as importantly, projected health—can create some of the biggest edges on season win totals. Star availability carries enormous weight in a league with smaller rotations, meaning one key injury can dramatically shift a team’s ceiling. Heading into 2026, several clubs stand out as injury-driven betting opportunities, whether because they’re healthier than the market expects or because major medical questions could limit their upside.

Atlanta Dream Over 29.5 Wins -110

Atlanta looks positioned to outperform its 29.5 win total despite losing Brionna Jones following right knee surgery. While Jones’ absence is significant, the addition of Angel Reese gives Atlanta a physical frontcourt replacement who is more than capable of filling that void immediately. Reese brings durability, rebounding, and defensive versatility, and the Dream should not lose much of a step stylistically. With the rest of their core intact, Atlanta still profiles as one of the better teams in the league, making the over an attractive injury-adjusted play.

Connecticut Sun Under 12.5 Wins -120

Connecticut’s 12.5 total still may be too optimistic given the roster concerns heading into the season. Top guard Leila Lacan starting the year overseas immediately hurts continuity and weakens an already thin rotation. The Sun also added Brittney Griner in free agency, but there are legitimate durability concerns over whether she can physically hold up over a full season after signs of decline during her final year in Atlanta. Between roster depth concerns and health questions surrounding key pieces, Connecticut projects as one of the weaker teams in the league, making the under appealing.

Indiana Fever Over 29.5 Wins -110

Indiana’s over comes down almost entirely to Caitlin Clark’s health. She appears to be progressing well after suffering a preseason knee injury, and if she is able to play close to a full season, the Fever should comfortably eclipse 30 wins. Clark’s offensive impact transforms Indiana into one of the most dangerous scoring teams in the league, and her availability is the biggest swing factor on this total. If healthy, the over carries strong value.

Los Angeles Sparks Over 25.5 Wins -125

Los Angeles enters 2026 in strong shape medically, with no major injury concerns surrounding its core roster. The biggest factor is Cameron Brink, who is now two years removed from her ACL tear. Historically, that second full year post-ACL is often when elite athletes truly return to peak form, regaining explosiveness, confidence, and rhythm. If Brink makes that expected leap, the Sparks should be notably better than last season and have a strong chance to clear this number.

Minnesota Lynx Under 25.5 Wins -115

Minnesota faces one of the biggest injury losses in the league, with Napheesa Collier expected to miss time into June after undergoing surgery on both ankles in 2026. Few players impact winning on both ends of the floor like Collier, and her absence will be extremely difficult to overcome early in the season. Her scoring, rebounding, and defensive versatility are foundational to Minnesota’s identity, and losing that production for an extended stretch makes the under the stronger play.

Seattle Storm Under 14.5 Wins -125

Seattle already entered the season with a depleted roster following significant offseason turnover, and now they will also be without one of their remaining cornerstone players. Ezi Magbegor’s right foot injury is expected to sideline her for 6-8 weeks, removing the Storm’s top interior defender and one of their most important all-around players. Without her presence, Seattle lacks the depth, defensive backbone, and top-end talent to consistently compete, making the under a strong injury-based fade.
