The Baltimore Ravens enter mandatory minicamp with one of their biggest defensive questions centered around Nnamdi Madubuike's recovery from neck surgery. Madubuike is working his way back from a potentially career-threatening injury suffered last season, while linebacker Teddye Buchanan continues rehabbing from a torn ACL. The Ravens are also monitoring the progress of Andrew Vorhees and Broderick Washington as training camp approaches.

Nnamdi Madubuike - Neck Surgery

Madubuike is continuing his recovery after undergoing neck surgery in April to address a potentially career-threatening injury suffered in Week 2 of the 2025 season. While there is no timetable for his return, doctors reportedly believe he can play again this season. New head coach Jesse Minter said Madubuike is trending in the right direction, and the hope is that he will be able to return at some point during the 2026 campaign.

Teddye Buchanan - Torn ACL

Buchanan continues to recover from the torn ACL he suffered in Week 15 against the Bengals, an injury that ended a promising rookie season. Buchanan finished the year as the team's second-leading tackler with 93 tackles before being placed on injured reserve. Ravens head coach Jesse Minter said Buchanan is "really far ahead of schedule" in his recovery, though he is still expected to have a limited workload early in training camp as the Ravens carefully manage his recovery.

Andrew Vorhees - Foot

Vorhees is expected to be a full participant in Ravens minicamp after recovering from the foot injury he suffered in Week 16 against the Patriots that caused him to miss the final two games of the 2025 season. There have been no reports of limitations or setbacks during the offseason, and Vorhees is viewed as a strong candidate for an expanded role and increased snaps in 2026.

Zay Flowers - Load Management

Flowers had a limited workload during portions of minicamp, though no specific injury has been disclosed. The Ravens appear to be managing a minor issue or simply exercising caution, and there is no indication of a significant concern.

The expectation is that Flowers will be fully ready for training camp and remain a focal point of Baltimore's passing attack.

Rashod Batemen - Personal

Bateman missed most, if not all, of OTAs and mandatory minicamp, but his absence was due to personal reasons and not injury-related. There are no reported health concerns, and the expectation is that he will return for training camp and resume his role in Baltimore's offense.

Broderick Washington - Achilles

Washington is back on the field and participating in Ravens OTAs after missing most of the 2025 season with an ankle/Achilles injury that required surgery. Washington appeared in just a handful of games before being placed on injured reserve and ultimately missed the remainder of the year. He is expected to be a full participant in minicamp and has no reported restrictions as he enters the 2026 season healthy.
