Anthony Richardson "Full Go" In Recovery From Shoulder Surgery

Indianapolis Colts star quarterback Anthony Richardson is reportedly all set to fully engage in football activities following shoulder surgery that ended his rookie season in Week 5. This surgery came after Richardson suffered a severe AC joint sprain during a game, following a hit by Titans edge rusher Harold Landry.

Although not all AC joint sprains necessitate surgery, Richardson's case was severe enough that continuing to play without surgery could have led to a permanent shoulder deformity. While this deformity might not have directly impacted his throwing motion, opting for surgery was considered the best decision for his long-term health.

Richardson was cleared to throw as early as February and, now in May, he is experiencing no limitations in his movements or throwing abilities. This recovery timeline aligns well with our initial expectations at sicscore.com for his return to full fitness ahead of training camp.

While there's a possibility that the Colts might take precautionary measures and hold him out of OTAs to ensure a smooth recovery, it's likely that Richardson is eager to return to active play.

Given all positive reports, it seems Richardson is on track to be 100% ready by Week 1. This optimistic outlook for his health, combined with the health of key players like Jonathan Taylor and the majority of the Colts' offense, suggests a promising start to the new season for the Colts.
