Here's The Latest on Ja Morant's Knee

Grizzlies star point guard Ja Morant missed Monday night's Game 4 loss to the Warriors, but the Pro Basketball Docs are optimistic about his chances for a Game 5 return.

Ja Morant Injury Update

Despite much speculation, Morant does not have an MCL sprain or any new structural damage to his injured right knee, according to the Pro Basketball Docs.

On Sunday, the Pro Basketball Docs detailed why Morant is likely dealing with the same right knee issue that kept him out of 11 games in late March to early April.

There has been much medical speculation that Golden State Warriors guard Jordan Poole's pull and grab on Morant's right knee caused a new structural injury.

Based on multiple video angles of that play, Poole's grab is not enough to cause structural damage to the MCL, according to the Pro Basketball Docs.

It may have been enough to aggravate Morant's previous knee issue, but that also may have happened when he bumped knees with Klay Thompson early in the second half.

The Pro Basketball Docs have optimism about Morant's chances to play in Game 5, although he will likely be less than 100%.

Grizzlies NBA Finals Odds

Memphis is at +640 to win the series and +3500 to win the NBA Finals, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
