The New York Giants look forward to having two vital wide receivers, Wan'Dale Robinson and Sterling Shepard, back in action this season after making the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
These players are expected to add more firepower to the team's offense, which will be crucial for them to continue improving under head coach Brian Daboll.
Robinson suffered a right ACL tear in November 2022, while Shepard tore his left ACL in September of the same year.
Pro Football Docs are pessimistic about Robinson's chances to be fully effective this season due to the nature of his injury, but Shepard's earlier injury timeline may give him an advantage in returning to his former self.
Robinson was a second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, which was Daboll's first draft with the Giants, and Shepard was drafted in the second round in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Robinson had 23 receptions for 227 yards and one touchdown last season. 220 of his 229 offensive snaps came in a five-game stretch between Week 6 and Week 11. However, over that span, he was targeted on 22.8% of his snaps to lead Giants receivers and rank 18th among receivers in the NFL.
Shepard had 13 catches for 154 yards and one touchdown last season.
Both players may be considered late-round targets in fantasy drafts, but Shepard seems like the safer bet if you had to choose.
