Houston's Marcus Sasser Suffers Groin Reaggravation vs. Northern Kentucky

University of Houston leading scorer Marcus Sasser reportedly suffered a reaggravation of his previous groin injury during the Cougars' first round win over Northern Kentucky.

Sasser, who had a SIC score of 63 entering Thursday's game, will be even less mobile come Saturday in the matchup against Auburn.

The senior guard's SIC score for Saturday is 41, indicating he will be even less effective on defense than in Thursday's game.

Sasser also showed limitations on offense, finishing with 5 points on 2-5 shooting with 2 rebounds in 14 minutes.

Prior to the tournament, the Pro Basketball Docs warned that Sasser would have a tough time playing effectively on both ends of the court given his groin strain.

Given this set back, it's no guarantee he will be 100% by the end of the tournament.

In Sasser's absence, freshman Emanuel Sharp scored 10 points on 3-4 shooting in 23 minutes.
