Braves Injury Report: Ronald Acuña Jr. Remains Out Monday With Groin Injury

Braves star right fielder Ronald Acuña Jr. will miss his fifth straight game with left groin soreness, despite positive MRI results on Sunday.

Ronald Acuna Injury Update

The Venezuelan two-time All-Star reportedly felt soreness in his groin after Tuesday's loss to the Red Sox and has not played since.

Travis Demeritte (FD $2,800) will lead off and play right field for today's game against the Brewers. Demeritte is hitting .300 with a .358 on-base percentage in 18 games this season.

Atlanta reportedly got positive news Sunday that his MRI didn't reveal any structural damage, but it remains to be seen when Acuña will return to the lineup.

If the Braves were to place him on the 10-day IL, which doesn't appear to be the plan at the moment, he would be eligible to return next Monday.

Acuña leads the Braves with 5 stolen bases despite playing in just 10 games. He's hitting .282 with a .391 on-base percentage and 2 home runs in 39 at bats.

Braves World Series Odds

At 16-19, the Braves are +330 to win the NL East and +1500 to win the World Series, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
