Anthony Davis Injury Update: Eye

Anthony Davis - SIC score 63

Suffered left eye corneal abrasion in first-quarter collision - eye reportedly swelled shut - unlikely to play Monday against the Atlanta Hawks but unlikely to be a long-term issue - team medical staff likely to use dye to check for scratch on the cornea.

Davis suffered the injury 11 minutes into the first quarter and exited the game before getting quickly ruled out.

As long as he doesn't have a scratched cornea, he can play once the swelling reduces. That may not happen as soon as Monday against Atlanta, but he should return to the lineup Friday against the Philadelphia 76ers.

If he can't play Monday, center Jaxson Hayes is likely to see increased playing time.
