The 2023 NBA playoffs have arrived meaning just a few games a day for the sportsbooks to adjust, leaving little value on the board. This is the time to latch onto trends and meaningful intel that can sway your thinking in the right direction. A profitable angle that has produced a +22 unit differential in NBA prop betting at our own SIC Picks here is injuries and how they impact an individual or roster as a whole. After scouring the betting board here are our handpicked playoff series and props heading into another eventful NBA playoffs:Cleveland Cavaliers - Game 1/Series ParlayThis bet is all about the health of Knicks star Julius Randle. He was not taking contact in practice until recently and is currently listed as questionable due to an ankle suffered March 29 causing him to miss the final 5 games of the regular season. The forward is targeting a Game 1 return but will not be 100% healthy if he indeed suits up. If he misses the game, the Knicks would be a huge disadvantage on both ends of the court to start the series. The Cavs will go into the series very health with just Isaac Okoro (knee) the main concern. Both bigmen (Jarrett Allen and Evan Mobley) will be a big mountain to climb even when Randle finds his footing. By then it maybe a little to late and with the series outright pricing highly in the Cavs favor a cute parlay including Game 1 where Randle will not be himself is a fine way to find value.Los Angeles Clippers +2.5 Series SpreadI know, I know, Paul George will miss the first round as our panel of doctors projected when the initial injury occurred but the Clippers have proved that they have depth especially in the offensive department.Norman Powell, Russell Westbrook and Eric Gordon can all produce 20 point games at any time which will be needed to help San Diego State great Kawhi Leonard who will be leaned on heavily through the series. Although George is an exceptional defender who will be missed on that end, I see the Clippers fighting hard all series and stealing away at least two wins. The Suns will be a difficult challenge getting healthy at the right time with the return of Kevin Durant (ankle) but he has yet to get fully acclimated to his new team and has not been the unstoppable force he was early in the season. Expect a closer than expected series.Sacramento Kings Series WinnerThe surprise of the NBA season has been the Sacramento Kings who finished third overall in the Western Conference (48-34). New head coach Mike Brown has rited the ship in Sactown getting the most out of stars De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis who have both endured career years in the stats department.Sacramento will face the 6th seed Golden State Warriors who will be a true test in whether the Kings are the real deal. The Warriors have a few things going against them that could prove to be the deciding factors in the series and one being their abysmal road record. The Warriors finished with a total of 11 wins in 41 road games which will need to change if they have any chance of beating the Kings in a 7 game series. Another issue is the conditioning of Andrew Wiggins who has missed the final 25 games of season and if not himself will leave the Warriors severely limited on both ends. Age will be a factor as well with the Kings holding one of the youngest rosters while the Warriors have the second oldest starting lineup.Sign up here for our FREE weekly newsletter and you'll get the best NFL, CFB, NBA and MLB injury insights from our Pro Sports Doctors plus Free Picks delivered straight to your inbox to give you an edge in betting and fantasy!
